Well I guess it is finally time to announce it. Baby #2 is due in February! Rogan has named the baby Hot dog and he is pretty sure I am hiding he/she in my belly button HA! Just wanted to share the news. I am right around 11 weeks and already feel huge and uncomfortable. Hopefully that has a lot to do with this ridiculous heat wave we are experiencing! Other than that I am just slaving away at my new role as a Commercial Account Manager with Advance Auto Parts. I am LOVING it, but it is a very intensive role! Sorry I was so bad about updating. I swear I'll do better!!!

Been a while since I updated again. We are keeping busy with Rogan. He is learning so much more everyday. Right now everything is thank you mom....sometimes even to daddy :)
Gabes brother Adam got married to Jess in October and Rogan was the ring bearer. He made it down the isle to my relief!!! Rogan was a soldier for Halloween, He picked it out all by himself! It turned out great! We had family pictures taken a few weeks ago that I have added. They were during nap time so clearly Rogan was not in a smiley mood! ha! Gabe has decided to go back to school! He starts at Doane Lincoln in January! I am so proud of him and I know he will love it as much as I did! Not much else is new around here, just loads of family time! Rogan is anxiously awaiting Christmas as I wrap more and more presents under the tree. This year will be so much fun because I think he is really starting to understand whats going on around him so much more. We were in church last Sunday and he pointed to the cross and said "God" and I thought...well...close...that's actually Jesus..but still it was a proud moment for me to know he was starting to get it! :) That's all for now! Sorry I haven't been updating like I should! We have been going going going all summer long. Rogan is growing up so fast and learning like a sponge! He is a copy cal mcgee! He wants to be just like his mommy and daddy so we are careful on what we do and say these days! I posted a video on you tube of our lil dancer! He is a dancing machine. Everytime music comes on no matter where we are he is dancing. I can't wait for Gabe's brothers wedding this weekend, he will be ready to party! Rogan is the ring bearer. I will post pictures..I promise! :) My sister Michelle and her two girls came home from Oregon so we spent last weekend in Crete with the whole family. It was such a blast! Hello all! Sorry I haven't been posting lately we have been going non-stop! I am still working full time at Nebraska Bolt, but have also started teaching aerobics classes at the YMCA. I am just loving it. We have already had 5 weddings this year, we have three to go. So that has been consuming a lot of our weekends. So much fun! Rogan is growing like a weed and seriously repeating everything I say and do. We are very blessed. He is just the sweetest boy. Anyway..here are a few quick pics!

My sister Emily had her baby girl yesterday. They named her Evangeline Suzette Gutz...soooo beautiful!!! She is jsut a perfect little angel! Opps..I just realized how long it has been since I have posted...where to start..Rogan is becoming more and more fun everyday! He has learn "hut, hut, hike" and will get in a headstand/three point stance, sooo cute! He has also learned to blow kisses. He is just such a joy and learning so many new things everyday! We celebrated Rogan's birthday with by going to Sesame Street live, then we had his birthday party the next day with all his family and close friends. A great time. We also made our first snowman! Rogan loved playing in the snow as long as he didn't have to sit in it!

Gabe and I went with our friends Ashley & Tim to Cancun. We had an absolute blast. I missed Rogan like crazy, but it was a nice vacation from responsibility. I forgot what it was like not to wake up at 6am everyday :) They only mishap was the night before we left when a fan blade broke off our fan and flew across the room waking us up....too funny!

More than anything I am trying to be patient while we wait for the arrival of my new niece..Baby Girl Gutz. Hopefully she will help curb my baby fever for a few months! Here are a few pics

Rogan took a few steps last night but only about 3...then I was in our bedroom putting laundry away and I heard Gabe yelling..."HE'S WALKING, HE'S WALKING, HE'S WALKING!" I ran out from our bedroom fast enough to see the last 3-4 steps! He still much prefers crawling...but he is really starting to figure this walking stuff out! Watch out world! :)

Hello All! Again...long time since our last post! We have, like everyone, been busy with the Holidays, Snow and oh yeah...the Flu! ugh! Rogan has been all about giving kisses lately....which in turn means..more germs and this time meant the flu for him and momma! We were able to make all of our Christmas obligations despite the second big snow storm in Nebraska in December. We did get stuck at Gabe's parents for a bit and we somehow forgot the diapers at my parents house...due to a few newborn diapers, duct tape and a little ingenuity on my part we were able to get through...see pics! Gabe's brother Adam proposed to his girlfriend Jess!!! YEAH!!! So excited to have a new member of the family!! Gabe's brother Matt brought his girlfriend Laura home and us girls just had a blast together! Rogan's 1st Birthday is soon approaching. It seems so impossible that my baby is almost 1 already! Where has time gone?!? Here are a few of our Holiday pics. We took Rogan to meet Santa today! We saw him first at the bank, then somehow when we got to the grocery store...he was already there with his reindeer! He sure is fast! We couldn't pass up the opportunity to take pictures of Rogan again with real, live reindeer. The pictures are priceless. He absolutely LOVED the reindeer and didn't make a peep about Santa, I was shocked! Here is a sample of the pics!

Rogan has had lots of firsts in the past month! He has taken his first step..which I believe was a complete accident, started standing by himself...also and accident I believe :) He traveled to KC for the first time to play with his cousins, and had his first real bad fever. Rogan was completely under the weather for 9 days. We had to go to the doctor 3 times and after he lost 2 pounds the dr was ready to put him on IV's, thankfully we were able to get a few ounces in him and he had a real turning point so we were able to avoid the hospital and IV's! We have been busy as ever as the holidays always are. Rogan is in copycat mode lately and has become a COMPLETE momma's boy! I am his personl jungle gym, but I know it won't last for long so I am trying to enjoy it. We are just having so much fun enjoying watching Rogan learn and grow everyday. Him and our cat Stormy seem to be the best of friends these days too. They just chase each other around. Soo sweet! I experience my first Steelers game, which was absolutely amazing! Our seats were 7 rows up, but I made friends in the first row and saw the players up close and personal...I was like a kid on Christmas..so exciting! Also I dislocated my shoulder again at the game...after seeing the surgeon it looks like I am facing complete reconstructive surgery after the 1st of the year...oh well :) Hope this finds everyone having a great, happy & SAFE holiday season!

Rogan was a Monkey for Halloween! We went trick or treating with my nephew Elijah. We all got together at my sisters house for food and fun. It was a great time! We also tried to play in the leaves today...Rogan was NOT a big fan of it, but I think he was mostly just hungry and tired...might have to have round two sometime soon! We have a family tradition of carving pumpkins and baking seeds. This year was so fun because Rogan helped. He LOVED the guts...he pretty much wanted to eat them all! We also had Rogan's 9 month well check this week. He is 29 1/2" long (90%) 21lbs 3oz (60%) and his head is 18 1/8" (75%) He is doing really well. We need to work on him pulling himself up and walking along the furniture a little, but he is very laid back so he kind of just sits back and takes it all in. Otherwise he is doing great! I just can't believe how fast he is growing up!

He has spent lots of time with both sides of grandparents too. So much fun! He is learning and changing so much everyday! Again, sorry for the lag in my updates, work and Rogan have been keeping me pretty busy, but I am loving it! We have a little inch worm on our hands. He is finally crawling!! It was so exciting for both me and him! He was playing with the top to his bottle and lost it...I turned my back for just a second, looked back and there he was, going across the room to his bottle cap like an old pro! I have a few videos on my phone I will try to upload, but he knew I was watching so none of them turned out to well! He must have been pretty jazzed about it, because he wouldn't go to sleep last night for anything. He was up until 10:30. (He is usually out by 7 or so!) Pictures and videos to follow soon!

Sorry!!! I have been horrible about keeping up with the blog since we left for Vegas, then I started the new job. It has been quite an eventful and exciting 6 weeks! We went to Vegas and had an amazing time! Then we got back and I started my new job with Nebraska Bolt the day after we returned! We have just been enjoying football season ever since! We have been to a Nebraska Game and a Raiders/Chiefs game. Rogan is growing up soooo fast! He is still not crawling, but I am betting on any day. For now I am enjoying my last few moments on immobility! He is getting GREAT at pulling himself up on me and standing while holding on to things. I have a sneaky suspicion that the transition from crawling to walking is going to be a SHORT one! My sister and her husband Seth are moving in to a new house this week, as are Gabe's brother and his girlfriend Jessica! Busy, Busy. Meanwhile, we are tearing out our old carpet to make room for some fresh Rogan stains on new carpet :) The big announcement in case you haven't already heard is that My sister Emily & Seth are expecting a new baby!!!!! He/she (I am betting on SHE) is due April 14th! That is all the news I have for now. Enjoy the pics! Ok...so I haven't been the best about updated lately, but life has been....CRAZY to say the least! At the end of July I made a heart wrenching decision to leave Grainger for a new venture. I took an outside sales position with Nebraska Bolt. It is a risky move, but hopefully the right one for our family at the time. Only time will tell :)

Rogan had his 6 month check up. He was a little over 28 3/4" long, (99%) 18.7 lbs (70%) and his head circ is 17 5/8" (80%) His head has certainly grown since his 4 month visit when he was just in the 50% percentile! Rogan has been hanging at home with me for the past three weeks which has been just amazing! Since I took a job with a competitor, Grainger told me they would pay me for my notice, but would not allow me to work because of confidentiality. I was sad at first, then I realized I get 3 weeks with my baby! YEAH!!

We have spent a lot of that time visiting Rogan's friends! We hung out will Jill and baby marley, We also saw baby Presley for the first time since she has been home from Childrens in Omaha! We also went to Jackson Stehliks first birhtday party and Czech days! The kids all had lots of fun together !! ;)

I also redecorated our house....this was going to be a simple project in my head. After several days of sewing, painting and moving furniture, the project is complete and looking great!

I can't really remember what else we have done, but somehow time is flying by us! Rogan is eating more and mre solid food, we have started meat. He is also sitting up quite well these days and is more fun tha never!

Gabe and I are taking our first vacation away from Rogan this week. :( We are going to Vegas for a few days. It will be soooo hard to leave him, but he will be in great hands with the grandparents! It should be a great time. One of the friends we are going with also has a little boy she willbe leaving with grandparents, so we can sulk together :)

What an eventful weekend we have had! Rogan is popping his 2nd tooth! He has really done better than I expected with his first two teeth! We went to a friend of ours for a BBQ for the 4th. Rogan decided to show off his rolling skills by demonstrating 19 consecutive rolls! It was CRAZY! He just kept going and going. He really seemed to LOVE the fireworks and wasn't bothered by the noise in the least! He was pretty tuckered out, but was trying to hang in there to see what 4th of July was all about!

We have had a fun filled weekend. We went to the horse races Friday night, we went to Aunt Emily & Uncle Seth's for a BBQ on Saturday and today we hung out with dad then headed to Crete to see Grandpa & Grandma Fink. We also got to visit Rogan's future wife (lol) Marley Rae Behrends after she was born late Friday night! Congrats to Jill & Cody!!! After all was said and done we decided to assemble the swing set and try out Rogan's baby swing! WHOA! So much excitement! Rogan made daddy chocolate chip pankcake for breakfast and put them on the plate in the shape of a "D" for Daddy and served him breakfast in bed! Daddy was quite impressed with his 5 month olds cooking abilities! :) Here are some pictures from our events this weekend! I also included a picture of Rogan with his ring on his ankle. I am not sure how he managed it, but he got his ring on his foot. I couldn't help but take a picture, TOO CUTE!

We had the Fink family reunion this weekend at Lovewell Lake. What a blast! We went down Friday right after work and came back late Saturday night. Rogan was loving every minute of it. He is our little outdoorsman. No matter how unhappy he is, just take him outside and his day brightens right up! He loved the leaves! he thought when they would move the were moving just for him! I forgot my photo card at home so I couldn't get too many pictures, but here are a few to share from our weekend! Gabe and I are convinced we need to get a little camper now! :) The picture of Rogan in his car seal was cracking us up! He was exhausted from being outside all weekend and fell fast asleep, but he still maintained the death grip on his links! He held them all the way home! Too funny!

OK, OK. Sorry about the month long delay in blogging! I like to think that I have been just enjoying Rogan and Gabe rather than on the computer, but the truth is we have just been SUPER busy :) (Although I have been enjoying any free seconds we can get!) Rogan had his 4 month well check. He had a fever of 103 that morning so I ended up having to stay home with him. The did end up giving him his shots that afternoon, but it was a rough couple of days. Then Roe decided he was not going to sleep through the night after his traumatic experience..lucky me! We are finally now getting back into a good night routine..I HOPE! he weight 16.9 lbs (85th percentile) was 27 1/2" long (97th percentile) and his head was somewhere is the 50th percentile....so yes, he is a BIG BOY! They are now estimating him to be 6'4" plus when he grows up. hard to believe that some day my baby boy will tower over me! We started getting pretty serious with the cereal and Rogan Lives for it! he gets so excited when I put him in his high chair, he knows what is coming and gets giddy!!!

We had Jasmin with The White Acorn take pictures of Rogan. She lives in Florida but is back for the summer. We are so lucky to have her take these pictures! I was pretty exhausted from puttin gmy party pants on at my very good friends wedding the night before so they are mostly of Roe and daddy. TOO CUTE!

Aside from that we are getting by and trying to slow time down as much as we can. Rogan is really become so aware of his surroundings and is TON of fun!

Hi Momma!

For all of my girlfriend who have had or are having daughters!

I finally graduated from college this weekend. For those of you that know me, this was a great accomplishment. I was told I had to quit school after I was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease so to walk across that stage was one of the greatest moments of my life. Actually, I was so emotional about it that I thought I might be pregnant again! LOL, I took a test just to double check and it was negative! WHEW! It was an amazing weekend with family and friends. Gabe threw an amazing party for me Saturday night and Sunday afternoon was spent with all of my nieces and nephews. It was great to all be together before my sister Michelle and her family move to Oregon. I want to thank everyone who made this weekend possible, especially my Mom and Gabe who threw my amazing celebrations.

Rogan will be 4 months old this week! I can't believe how fast he is growing and learning! he is really starting todiscover his surroundings! One of our favorite things to do right now is to sit in front of the mirror and "talk" to that baby in the mirror! he loves it. He smiles, talks, and laughes at himself. SO FUN! Last night was also a great treat, Rogan rolled from his back to his stomach. He is such a good boy, he is doing everything at home first so far instead of at daycare.! :) I have uploaded some random pictures of Roe and graduation weekend.

I can't believe how fast my baby is growing. I LOVE to watch him learn and grow, but I hate to think about how fast the time is going. Like the songs say..."It won't be like this for long..." Rogan is really starting to grab onto things (ex:his toys, my hair, whatever is close!) I just added a few new pictures. Rogan LOVES to watch TV. We try not to let him, but he takes after his father in that department. One night he was playing with the remote and GAZING at the TV...too funny! I also could resist sneaking up on Gabe while he was laying in the hammock trying to teach those pesky blackbirds whose boss...HA!

Hey all! Sorry I have been horrible about updating! My body was revolting for a few days after the marathon and somehow the next week slipped into oblivion! Rogan had a big day at daycare today..Beth, his daycare provider, called him the King of Rolls! he just kept rolling and rolling...of course when I want him to perform at home, I get NOTHING. Apparently he was done performing for the evening. He is doing a great job grabbing his toys and is getting so strong everyday!

Quick Update: Rogan is rolling from tummy to back!!! We were doing tummy time and there he went. Gabe and I were both home and able to experience his first roll together! It was so exciting!!! He didn't even struggle or cry, it was just a few seconds after I had put him on his tummy. Mr Big Stuff!!!

What an eventful week! Rogan has slept through the night for four straight nights..I am sure I am jinxing myself by posting this!!! I decided to wait a little while on cereal because as well as he was doing with it, he was having trouble with BM...so I figure he must not be quite ready yet. Although this problem never seemed to bother him, it sure made me and Gabe crazy...never thought I would be so excited to see poo! It is funny what motherhood does to a person! Rogan has also started to mimic mommy and daddy. It is too funny when we make a motor boat sounds with our lips, he tried to mimic. He hasn't master it yet..but he figured out if he gurgles spit it kind of makes the same noise! Priceless! Rogan also started to grip his bottle when he is eating from a bottle, of course the one time I noticed it he was drinking Pedialyte...OH WELL! :) He has also become obsessed with the tv! He will crank his head and body anyway physically possible to see the darn thing! I think he has also figured out that his hand are attached to his body! he has started swiping at toys and playing with a few things on his exersaucer. He gets pretty proud of himself when he can make the toyd make noise!

Rogan has a new friend as well! Lacy had a baby girl, Lyndyn J Tran! Congrats to them. We took pictures of the kiddos together. It is amazing how fast babies grow in three months!

Today I completed the Lincoln Half Marathon. Rogan was totally my inspiration for running! I want him to know that he can do anything he sets his mind to, even if that means running a half marathon, with little training, 14 weeks after delivering a baby...(hopefully he never delivers a baby! HA!!) I am pretty sore, but did it! It was great to have Gabe and Rogan cheering me on at the finish line.

Well after a few nights of little sleep I have decided perhaps Rogan is ready for Rice cereal! Experts say when babies watch you eat and start waking up more in the night they are ready to start cereal, so I thought I would give it a test run to see if it makes any difference! Rogan absolutely LOVED it. It took a few runny bites for him to get the hang of it, but eventually he was crying because Momma couldn't get it in his mouth fast enough! I made it VERY runny for to start, but he still seemed to be a HUGE fan of it.

Also, I left him with Daddy for just a few minutes and this is the result....such a tragedy!

I can't believe our baby is already 3 months old! Where has the time gone?!? We have been trying to use the Bumbo to help Rogan get stronger in his neck and learn to sit a little. We have also started successfully started using the exersaucer for SHORT periods of time. Rogan used to scream bloody murder ever time we tried these before, but it seems we have begun a breakthrough this week! We also have moved Rogan to the crib! He was sleeping in our room, then in his room, but in his pack n play and now finally his crib. I hear EVERYTHING through our amazing monitors so I am not sleeping well at all, but Rogan is doing OK. He goes to bed great, but when he wakes up it is apparent he doesn't know where he is and is pretty scared. This too shall pass :) (hopefully sooner than later, momma and Rogan need so zzz's!)

We were so lucky to get to spend lots of time with family lately! Karen, Nick and the kids spent a few days at our house and Kierra got to "hold" Rogan, She said he was kind of wiggly! Gotta love it! Got lots of new pictures to share! Enjoy!

Ok, so I have been HORRIBLE about updating. I feel like we have hardly anytime to spend as a family since I returned to work, so the moments we are together I cherish as much as possible and stay as far away from the computer as I can :) Since the last post we have taken family pictures with the Fink family! So much fun!! Elijah, our godson has his first birthday at Chuck-E-Cheese, and Gabe and I both completed a 5K. Our weekends have been jam packed! Rogan is doing great and growing like a weed! He is already in his 3-6 months clothes and some of those are looking a little short. He is just so long! I weighed him the other day and the scale had him over 14lbs and over 25 inches long! BIG BOY! We have been so blessed that he has started sleeping through the night! (YEAH!) Until we threw his schedule completely off this weekend. Last night was rough for both Rogan and Momma! He is still sleeping in our room in the bassinet, so that makes getting up much easier. Depending on how the week goes I am hoping to start him sleeping in his room by this coming weekend. It is going to be much harder on me than him I have a feeling :) I will upload some new fun pictures when I get home tonight. Rogan is stating to really interact with us and play! HE loves music, especially country. We try to dance every night

before bedtime! The cat (Stormy) and Rogan have also started to bond a little! I was feeding Roe one night and he feel asleep. Storm decided Rogan's head looked like a pretty good pillow so he went ahead and layed his head right next to his! It was absolutely adorable!

Rogan's first Easter was great! It seems Rogan has Mommies allergies. Durign church when they use the incense we were both sneezing away, so we spent the remainder of church in the cry room, but overall Rogan did great! We celebrated all weekend, on Saturday we celebrated at Great-Grandma & grandpa Kielty's in Norflk and Sunday we celebrated in Crete at G-ma & G-pa Finks. We had an Easter egg hunt, but Rogan decided to sleep right through it! Aunt Emma bought him some bunny ears and he actually wore them without getting crabby for quite a while! Daddy is not happy about them, because they aren't manly, but I thought it was just too adorable not to post!

Today was Rogan's two month check up! He weight 13 lbs and is 24 3/4 inches long! Such a big boy! Dr. Koch said he thinks he will be about 6'2", but of course that is just an educated guess.Rogan is 82th percentile for weight and 95th percentile for height! He got his shots today and he took the like a champ! We were waiting in the office for his shots for what seemed like forever after the doctor had been in. About 30-45 minutes later the Dr came back in and asked if we were ok. I said we were still waiting for the shots. he was IRATE! Apparently the nurse had left for lunch and forgotten about us! OPPS! I have never seen Dr. Koch so mad! He just kept apologizing. I think it really worked out to our advantage because I had given Rogan some Tylenol after the dr gave me dosing instructions, so it had about 45 minutes to start working before he had his shots! :) We got the shots and got Roe settled down and headed on our way. he has been naping for about 2 hours now since we left. It must have worn him out! I think the shots were harder for me than for him! After we got home we received a phone call from the Dr.'s office. It was the nurse calling to apologize. I have a feeling Dr. Koch had a little meeting with her. I have to assume that won't be happening again. HA! Poor girl! All in all the visit went well and Rogan is doing great and growing like a weed! I added a few picture I took this morning before we headed off to the doctor's office.

This week has been a very eventful one! Rogan got to meet his Uncle Matt (Gabe's youngest brother). They had a great time together! Roe also got to celebrate his very first St. Patty's Day! Rogan is an Irish name so it was a pretty exciting day for him! Last Friday Rogan's had a few photo shoots! Mommy felt it was necessary to buy him a new "golfer's" outfit for the occasion. He was in Dr. Hier-Duffin's advertisement, then we decided to go get pictures at Walmart. I called my sister Emily to see if it would be possible to get Elijah and Rogan's pictures taken together. When I called her she was already at Walmart about to get Elijah's pictures taken!?! What are the chances? So we got the boys picture taken together. It will be a great memory for them down the road! I also finished a video for Rogan. It has all my belly pictures, all the video from the hospital including Rogan being born, then pictures of his first few days of life. It is a priceless memory for our family! I can't believe Rogan is already 2 months old. While making the video I just kept looking at him thinking about how grown up he is already!

This week was also a very sad week for Mommy. I had to return to work. We are blessed to have a wonderful daycare provider. Mary Beth Lutz, having her made the transition a little easier, but it was a tearful, difficult week. We survived...Barely :) It was the most difficult thing I have ever done to send my little baby to daycare, but he seemed to enjoy watching the other kids. Apparently he enjoyed it too much, because he didn't take a nap for the first 3 days! He also started not sleeping at night. I think the transition took a toll on him too! He is making up for it today with lots of naps! The thing I miss the most is what I call my morning smiles. Every morning when we get up Rogan grins ear to ear, I added a picture of one of them. Some mornings he really gets going and starts laughing out loud. Soooo sweet! Spending time away from Rogan just makes me realize how blessed I am when I do get to spend time with him and Daddy. God has blessed me with the truly wonderful gift of my family.

This weekend has been an exciting one for Rogan! He FINALLY got to meet his uncle Matt (Gabe's little brother!) Matt and Roe are buddies already! On Sunday we made the trip to visit Great G-ma & G-pa Buresh! It was a long trip and we have been paying for it with a few tough days and nights, but it was well worth it. They were so excited to meet Rogan!Rogan hasn't been feeling very well. I can't figure out exactly what is causing the problem, but I am going off dairy for a while to see if that makes a difference. Poor Rogan has been screaming if he is awake. However this morning it seems we had a breakthrough and I am getting my happy baby back. I had him actually laughing out loud! It was such a treat! I wish I could have caught it on video, but I didn't want to stop to get the camera; I was having too much fun! I am going back to work Monday and already heartbroken over leaving Rogan, but I've got to do it. :( Here are a few pictures of our week so far! Rogan's baby acne has cleared up and his hair is coming back in! He is all ready for his big photo shoot for Dr/ Hier-Duffin's office advertisement on Friday!

Lately Rogan has been giving me LOTS of smiles! I can't seem to catch any of them on camera though! Here is one were he is giving a little grin. Gotta Love it. Today he was even laughing a little in his sleep! I wonder what he was dreaming about?!? Rogan has also been doing LOTS of tummy time! He loves it! The only problem we have is that he likes it so much that sometimes he will fall asleep! I am supposed to be going back to work today, but took an extra week and a half off to spend with Rogan. This has been an exciting week! Rogan slept last night from 9pm-4am! IT WAS AMAZING! Of course mommy is so used to getting up ever few hours That I was up at 2am, 3am and 4am. But still it was a restful night! We visited Great G-ma Fink in Hebron on Thursday. It was a great trip and she was sure glad to meet Rogan! I also had to share a few pictures of Rogan in his fathers favorite outfit..NOT MOMMY APPROVED! Everyone who knows me knows I am an AVID Steelers fan, but the outfit is just too cute not to share. (He has a Steelers one that will fit during football season! YEAH!) Rogan's hair is starting to grow back in where he lost it so hopefully he won't have the "old man hair" much longer! I also wanted to throw a picture in of the difference 4 weeks can make. See "Handsome" shirt! Same shirt...different pants.

Sunday Rogan was baptized! YEAH!!! It was such a wonderful ceremony. We were so glad that our families could make it and help us celebrate. Great Grandma Kielty made Rogan the most beautiful quilt! We will cherish it forever! G-ma Buresh gave Rogan his baptism shoes with his name and birthday on them. Pretty big on his little feet, but so adorable that he wore them anyway :) It was a great day! It is always fun to get to see my sisters kids and see how fast they are growing. It makes me cherish the time with Rogan as I know it will go too fast. I can't believe he is already almost a month old...where has the time gone? The nights seem so long somedays, but in hindsight they haven't lasted long enough. Rogan also tried out his exersaucer for the first time this weekend. He is way too small for it, but he enjoyed relaxing in it and listening to the music as momma pushed the buttons. We spent Valentine's Day with Rogan's Godparents Emily and Seth and his cousin Elijah. It was a great, but exhausting weekend. Rogan had his first fever and both him and Mom have a pretty fierce cold. Hoefully today we can get back on schedule and get some sleep tonight.

We had our 3 week check up today! Rogan is 9.5lbs (52nd %tile) 22" long (75th %tile) and his head circumference is 15" (51st %tile). I knew he was feeling much longer!!! We are starting vitamin drops since he is breastfed. We also have to massage his eye because he has a blocked tear duct in his right eye. Other than that he is a VERY healthy boy! Dr. Koch was impressed with how much weight he had gained in two weeks. He was 7lbs 3oz two weeks ago! We are going to try to get out for a walk and take advantage of today's beautiful weather!!!

Rogan has been battling a cold for about a week now. He has also had a gassy tummy and to top it all off an eye infection. POOR BABY!!! He hasn't been sleeping much at night and that has been a tad trying for both mommy and daddy, but just one quick smile during a 4am feeding and my heart melts all over again. Being a mom is the most amazing feeling in the world. Gabe made a comment last night that pretty much summed up how we feel. He said "I never thought something so tiny could hold so much of my heart. I just love him more than I ever thought I could." It is so true! He is such a good baby! Finally last night I think we had a breakthrough! His eye has begun to clear up from me putting breast milk in it. (I know it sounds crazy, but it works!) He actually slept for 3-4 hour increments, which was AMAZING! I feel refreshed and ready to handle the world again. We have abig week this week. We had Rogan's newborn pictures yesterday, tomorrow we have his 3 week appointment (with shots! YUCK!) then on Thursday we are going to meet our new daycare provider after our last one backed out on us when I was 40 weeks pregnant. Thank goodness because I LOVE our new one. Just a blessing in disguise! I can't wait to see how much Roe has grown in the past two weeks. He seems so much longer and heavier! I will get some pictures uploaded soon! he is changing so much everyday, but I haven't been doing a great job of taking pictures because we have been busy trying to get healthy again.

When we left the hospital the nurses and doctors were concerned because Rogan had lost over 10% of his body weight. I took him to Milk works today and he has more than made up for his loss! Last Monday at his 5 day visit he weighed 7lbs 3 oz. Today our big boy was 8lbs 5oz!!!! I could tell he was filling out and gaining some weight, but I wouldn't have guessed he gained over a pound! WAY TO GO ROGAN!!!

It is AMAZING how much more I can fall in love with my son everyday! I was playing with him this morning and decided I think he got even more handsome over night. Obviously I am very biased :) We are working really hard at getting Rogan into a routine. nap time at 10 and 2 and trying to get him to recognize days and nights. Wish us luck! Last night was a little scary for me. I woke up around midnight with chills so bad I couldn't hold Rogan. I think it is probably just my hormones adjusting, but it sure scared me. I continued to have chills and night sweats through the night, but and feeling much better this morning! My mom said she might have the flu so hopefully it is just my body adjusting and not something more. Here are a few new pictures from last night and this morning. Rogan was cooperative for his naked photos! He was awake , not crying and not going potty on me! GOOD WORK!

Ok, so it has taken a few days for things to settle down enough for me to be able to get the blog updated! We were released from the hospital Friday. Rogan's weight was down over 10% so we had to get checked on Saturday morning. The Dr. said he was looking a little jaundice when we were there. She said it wasn't bad, but we just needed to watch it. By Saturday evening we were in the emergency Room....A LITTLE SCARY!!! His number was at 11.7, we would need to consider lights at 12. Luckily, however, my milk came in Saturday morning so now he is gaining weight and looking much better according to his pediatrician this morning. We hopefully won't need to go back for another 3 weeks :) The first two night home were a little rough. My sweet little son decided night time was daytime. He was up from 12am until 7am without a single minute of sleep. Last night we switched from his basinette to the pack and play and had much better luck! He slept from 10-12:30 and 2:30-7 only getting up to eat! WHOOOOA!!!! Gotta love that! Hopefully he wil do the same tonight, although I am not holding my breath. Daddy went back to work today and is playing with him now. I think they really missed each other! That is about all for now. We are just loving every second of our new son, even the trying moments are wonderful because we know they will go all too fast. I have uploaded a few pictures from the other day. I will try to have a fun Rogan photo session tomorrow if he is cooperative and get some fun photos uploaded :) I am sure he will love every second of his crazy mothers antics!

He is here!!! Rogan Anthony Buresh was born at 8:37pm on 1-21-2009. He weighed 7 lbs 13 oz and is 20 1/2" long! He has LOTS of dark hair!!! I went in wednesday morning and was given some cytotec. I was only given one dose and labor progressed on it's own from there! By noon the dr came and broke my water. We had a slow afternoon. At 6pm I was only dilated to 5 1/2cm. At 8pm I asked the nurse to check me because I was ready to take a nap and didn't want her to wake me up to check if I was actually going to be able to get some rest. We joked that if I was ready to go, everyone was just going to have to wait until after my nap for me to push. We assumed I was no further than 7cm or so. She checked and sure enough Rogan was ready to make his grand entrance! She said he was very low so she thought I actually had been at 10cm for a while! So, we called the dr and got ready for delivery. One of my dr's partners happend to be around so she was going to fill in until my r could get there. 5 contraction and a few pushes later, Rogan was born. My doctor missed the birth by a few minutes. I only pushed for about 20-25 mins! She was so upset that she missed it! Gabe was amazing through the entire labor and delivery process. Holding my hand every step of the way! I could ask for a better husband or son! We are at Bryan, so feel free to visit! We love to show Rogan off :) When he was first born everyone thought he looked just like me, and today I think he looks just like his daddy! He is changing so fast! Well, it is 4:50am and we are just getting ready to head off to the hospital! We have taken what we are praying are our finally belly pictures! I got a little sleep last night, about 3-4 hours. I have been a little nauseous this morning, but I am pretty sure it is just due to nerves :) The induction will start at 6:00am. As I said before there is a chance the induction may not work and we will be sent home only to try again in a week. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with us today.

Hello all. Sorry it has been a little while since my last post. We had a doctor appointment today. I am dilated about a fingertip to 1cm and 60% effaced. We have set an induction date for Wednesday the 21st. We are going in at 6am to start cytotec. It is a pill that will help to soften and dilate my cervix. If it doesn't dilate me they will send us home and try again in a week. The doctor does not want to set us up for a situation that would call for a Cesarean if at all possible. I am trying to maintain a positive attitude, but I also don't want to set myself up for disappointment. I am going to go in on Wednesday with the attitude that the induction may not work and if it does...great! Please pray for Baby B and our family as we undergo this induction. Let's all pray that is works and we have a healthy baby boy this week!!! We are so excited to finally meet him as I know you all are too!

It was brought to my attention how much my belly has grown over the past two weeks. It was also brought to my attention that I haven't taken any belly pictures in a while...so here you go! It seems like my belly has really dropped. Lat night I was having some really good painful contractions, so I am excited to see if we have made any progress. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for us that the doctor appointment goes well tomorrow!! I think I have decided that my last day of work will be January 16th assuming I don't go into labor before that. That will give me a day or two next week before induction to finish up some last minute things and rest a little for the last time for the next 25 years or so :)

Today we had a doctor appointment. His heart rate is at 130bpm. They estimated his weight is about 7 lbs 1 oz right now. The doctor checked me and I was about 60%-70% effaced but am not dilated at all :( Dr. Hier-Duffin will check me again next Monday. If I am dilated next week she will induce on the 14th (I am not counting on being dilated!) If nothing significant has changed we are planning on inducing on the 21st. The doctor said ideally she would like to induce on the 16th, but she isn't on call again until the 21st, so we will have to wait to meet our little guy until then. I am still feeling pretty good, emotionally I am just very ready for baby B to get here and finding out we had to push the induction date back 5 days to fit it into her schedule was a little disappointing. Hopefully we will make some good preogress and be able to induce next Wednesday. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

I am officially 37 weeks today. There for a long time I never thought we would make it to this day. We are so blessed that Baby B has stayed put and let himself grow and develop. Now that I am full term I suppose I can deliver anyday. I have put off packing until last night. I was having some good contractions so I figured it would be wise to put a little bag together even if it meant surrendering my favorite sweatpants to the suitcase! I have my next doctor appointment on Monday, I am hoping she will set the induction date. One way or another we will have our son out of my belly in two weeks or less :) We are getting very anxious and excited. Thank you so much for your love and support throughout this wonderful experience!

Well, I had my 37 week appointment today. My strep B test from last week came back positive so I will have to be treated with antibiotics during labor. No big deal. 30%-40% of pregnant women are carriers of Strep B. I measured right at 37 weeks and the heart rate was 137. baby B is looking very healthy. We couldn't get a good face picture because he is still sticking his hands in front of his face. We discussed induction. Dr. Hier-Duffin will check me at 38 weeks and will induce at 39. We haven't set a day yet, but either way we have about 3 weeks left until we get to meet baby B! I am getting anxious to meet him! We got the car seat installed. I really need to pack my bags just in case, but can't seem to surrender my favorite sweatpants to a suitcase just yet :) We are all ready as soon as he is ready to join us. For Christmas we got a pack and play from G-ma and G-pa Fink so we have that set up as well as the bassinet set up ready to use! I have my next appointment next Monday afternoon.

We had a great Christmas! We were able to see everyone even though we couldn't travel. Gabe's mom had Christmas in town at her house since we couldn't make it to Norfolk this year. I uploaded a few pictures. I added a picture of my parents just because it is impossible to ever get a good picture of them and I finally accomplished it ;)

36 WEEK APPT

Yesterday we had our 36 week appointment. We met with a midwife because one of the doctors from my office is on bed rest and the other one just left and moved to California so they have a heavy load. It was a great visit! We spent some good time asking questions. I had my Strep B test. We will have the results next week. My belly measured 38cm and Baby B's head is fully engaged. She said even though I am measuring big she thinks he will be a small baby, about 7 pounds at delivery. This is of course just an estimate. My sister said I am now jinxed and will have a HUGE baby! As long as we get him here safe and sound I don't care either way. His heartbeat was around 120bpm which is much lower than it has been, but they assured me it was fine. We are now having weekly visits. I will see my regular doctor again next Monday and hopefully she will check me to see if I have made any progress. I am feeling great with the exception of being a little sluggish. I have completed all my coursework for graduation, so now I can just relax and wait for Baby B to make his arrival!

This past week Gabe's grandpa also had a small stroke. We are still waiting to learn more about how it will affect him, but he seems to be ok. Thank the Lord! Still, we can definitely use your prayers. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I finally have a few pictures to upload from the shower last weekend! Very exciting stuff! I also added a few pictures from a Christmas Party this weekend and one from carving pumpkins around Halloween time. (We carve pumpkins every year. it is a big tradition with Gabe and I.) Gabe's work party was this weekend. We are so grateful for the wonderful party they put on every year. We are also incredible thankful for Gabe to have such a secure job the way the economy is right now! Thanks Glass Edge and Dave (Gabe's boss) The party was a hoot as always! After the work party was over we stopped by our friends, the Yelkin's annual Christmas party! We got there pretty late, but it was still great to see everyone! I also completed me first 1/2 day back at work on Friday. I was like a kid on the first day of school! I was so excited just to be there and to be interacting with people again! I am really looking forward to the next few weeks of working again before Baby B makes his arrival!

I saw Dr. Hier-Duffin today. She checked me and since I am not dilated she is letting me return to work part time! She was reluctant to allow me to work at all, but my goal is to make it back for 30 calender days before delivery! We finally agreed on 1/2 days and I must remain on bed rest when I am not at work. I am excited to be able to get out of the house for even a few hours a day! She said Baby B is looking great and weighing about 4 1/2 pounds! My blood pressure and weight are within normal ranges, so all and all the visit went very well. I did get a flu shot so my arm is a little sore, but it was not as bad as I expected! I have always heard horror stories of how painful they can be. My next visit is December 22nd. If I make it another two weeks they will let me deliver if I go into active labor! How exciting!

34 Weeks

For those of you that have waited SO patiently for the past 34 weeks. We can FINALLY announce the sex of the baby to the public! ITS A BOY! We found out at 14 weeks and keeping it a secret was not always an easy task, but it was very fun to announce at the baby showers! I will upload pictures as soon as possible from the shower. Thanks so much to my mother-in-law Pat and my (HOPEFULLY-boys take a hint!) soon to be sister-in-laws Jessica Blair and Mary Vu for helping to put a wonderful shower together! The shower was amazing! We are so grateful for everyone who could make it. We are so blessed to be surrounded with such wonderful family and friends!

Every year Gabe and I have a tradition of putting the tree up together (Sam 33 weeks prego!). Each Christmas we buy an ornament that reminds of the events that have taken place then when we put up the tree we reminisce about the years past. This year is extra special as it will be the last year we put up the tree by ourselves. Next year we will have a very special helper! Here are a few picture of us putting up the tree. We got the stocking hung, the nativity scene put up and even a few lights outside. We said we went going to do much this year as Baby B could arrive anytime, but I am a sucker for the Holiday Season! There must be something in the water these days! I started bed rest without any of my friends pregnant. I now have 6 friends expecting!!! I am so excited for everyone! I am excited that baby b will have lots of little playmates running around too! Congrats to everyone!

As for me, I am approaching the 33 weeks mark! I am still feeling great for the most part aside from a little morning sickness every now and then. I also, of course, get lots of kicks in odd places as Baby B is taking up more room. I am hoping I get to go back to work on Dec 11th! Keep your fingers crossed for me! I will hopefully finish up my degree in Human Relations in the next few weeks, then I can really focus on getting everything ready for the baby! We will announce the sex publicly after the last shower on Sunday! I can't wait to be able to say he or she! We are keeping the name a secret until Gabe comes out of the delivery room and announces it despite my sisters best efforts to lure it out of me! I am getting really excited to see what the next few weeks will bring. I never thought I would be so anxious for January!

32 WEEK DOCTOR APPOINTMENT

We had our 32 week doctor appointment today! The sex of the baby was definitely confirmed. For the first time I could actually see what she was talking about instead of just taking her word for it! I was hoping I would be released to go back to work on Monday, but that is not going to happen just yet. She said we are going to have to wait until my next visit on December 10th and re-evaluate. I need to take it a little easier than I have been. The babies heart rate was SO strong and loud! Right at 138 bmp. I also measured right on at 32 weeks. Everything seems to be going great except my having contractions and starting to thin out. Hopefully I will be able to return to work on Dec 11th! We got some great pictures of Baby B's feet today THEY ARE HUGE! So adorable! I can't wait to hug and kiss them! We have decided we are going to deliver at Bryan LGH. I want to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving. We are sure giving thanks at our house that baby B has remainded in my belly this long! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

31 weeks

We had a baby shower on Saturday. It was SOOO much fun for me to see all of our friends! I had a had a great time and I am pretty sure Baby B did too because the baby didn't stop wiggling the whole day or night! We announced the sex of the baby to our anxious friends! We have one more baby shower to go until we can post the sex of the baby for everyone to see! I actually slipped up at the shower and used a gender specific word so i let the cat out of the bag a few minutes before I had planned! OPPS! We got some great stuff! It seems like everything is getting more and more real with each shower! Gabe and I just sat down after the shower last night and it seemed like it hit us both at the same time that we are going to have a child in 8-9 weeks. What a wonderful blessing! we really want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts that attended the shower. It meant more to us than you know to be surrounded by friends! I really want to thank the girls who helped with food and my sister for throwing the shower. It was a blast! After the shower everyone hung around and we played some cards and had some laughs... apparently the assembly of a diaper genie looks easier than it really is! HA! I posted a bunch of pictures from the shower! I also had to post Gabe's impersonation of my belly pics. So cute! Thanks again! Love you all!

Hey all! Finally we are into the single digit week countdown. I am still on bed rest, but making the best of it. I am really ready to go back to work. I should find out on our next doctor appointment whether I will be able to return to work or if it will be prolonged until Christmas Day (36 weeks). The past few weeks have been filled with some ups and downs. I have noticed serious mood swings and have been a little more emotional. I think it is partly because of the pregnancy and partly from being cut off from everyone for 10 weeks. Bed rest can really start to take a toll. We have a baby shower tomorrow and am so excited to see all of my friends! We will be announcing the sex to them. It has been such a blast listening to every ones predictions...only time will tell! I can't believe we haev been able to hold the secret in for so long! The past few weeks has also had many high points. The baby is hiccuping like CRAZY! I thought it was cute at first, but after the first few hours I just felt bad. Poor baby! They lasted off and on all of yesterday morning. I have had trouble sleeping because Baby B is such a maniac as soon as I lay down. However, I am blessed that the baby can give me those little (HUGE) kicks and let me know it is doing alright. I will post some pictures after the shower tomorrow.

**We also have a close family friend in the hospital battling cancer and some heart problems so please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Almost 30 weeks

I decided it was time for some updated belly pictures! The baby is definitely making use of my entire belly these days! I can feel him/her under my ribs a lot of the time. My skin feels like it can't possibly stretch any bigger, but I know it will continue to grow and grow over the next 10 weeks! I have started to feel a little sluggish again, but overall I am still feeling great. I have a doctor appointment on Thursday. I am anxious to see what she has to say about the size of Baby B and the effectiveness of bed rest. I had a moment of reality setting in last night when i realized we have just over 9 weeks until the baby arrives. I was suddenly thinking about all the things that need done before Baby B enters the world... Perhaps I should remind myself that if all goes as planned, I still have over 2 months to accomplish everything :) Daddy (Gabe) is also starting to get very anxious! From this point on the baby will be gaining 1/2 pound a week! Grow baby Grow!

I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who pitched in to get us our stroller and car seat, especially my sister Emily for organizing everything. It arrived today. I LOVE IT! I can't wait for Gabe to see it, I know he is going to love it as much as I do! I assembled it all by myself! (Ok, it wasn't hard, but still I feel a sense of accomplishment!) Having our stroller and car seal makes it seem so real! I feel like Baby B's birthday is so close and yet, still so far away! I just wanted to post a few pictures of the travel system. I tested out my mommy skills by strapping the teddy bear in the seat. It really made my day to have a package arrive so soon. I didn't think we would see it for several more weeks. I am feeling much more prepared now! Everything else has been going pretty well. I am anxious for my next doctor visit on November 13th to see how the baby is doing and hopefully get the ok to return to work on Dec 1st! I have been having a lot less contractions in the past few weeks, which is very encouraging! I feel great other than the normal third trimester tiredness and shortness of breath. Morning sickness has also been plaging me a little, but it is nothing like the first trimester. We are just getting so anxious to meet our new addition...Is it January yet???

Oh third trimester...I can't believe we are already here! My belly has been growing like crazy! Morning sickness has also decided to show it's ugly head again. It is NOTHING like I had in the first trimester, but still not fun. Other than that I am feeling pretty good! We weren't able to do much for Halloween because of being on bed rest, but we still entertained ourselves. We just ordered some pizza and handed out candy to all the adorable kiddos! We don't get many kids at our house, so we went to Gabe's parents. My favorite trick or treater was my God son Elijah! He was a skunk..."little stinker!" He was the cutest skunk ever! I dressed up as ab 8-ball. It was hard to capture in any pictures, but the 8 on my tummy was really round. It was comfy and I still felt like I was in the Halloween spirit, so it worked. :) Here are a few pictures!

We had our first baby shower this weekend. It was nice to be off of my couch for the first time in five weeks and onto my parents couch. I want to thank my sisters and my mom for throwing such an amazing shower! I also want to thank everyone who made it to the shower! It meant so much to me and Gabe that everyone could be there. We announced the sex of the baby for the first time to those who were in attendance. The rest of you will still have to wait. :) Our last shower is December 6th. After that shower we will announce the sex to everyone else. It has been so fun for Gabe and I to have our little secret for a few months. Baby Buresh got some great gifts at the shower and I will definitely have fun playing with them for the next few weeks until the baby gets here! We got an exersaucer which daddy has already successfully assembled even though we won't be using it for several months! It made the whole experience very real. On our car ride home Gabe and I just looked at the gifts and then looked at each other thinking...this is really happening!!! We are both getting very anxious and excited! Baby B and I have a doctor appointment this afternoon. We will find out how much bed rest has been helping. The contractions seemed to have slowed significantly in the past week and a half, so I am hoping for a good report. Aunt Emily is going to come to the appointment today too! We are excited to share the experience with her! I will update after the appointment. For the mean time, I have added some pictures from the wonderful shower. I also want to thank my 3 1/2 year old niece Kierra for doing my hair for the shower...it was beautiful! Thanks again for all the love and support we got. We love you all!

4 weeks

I just wanted to mention how much Gabe LOVES taking my belly pictures....ok...maybe not! I had to throw the first one on the website just because out cat Stormy made the photo shoot. HA! It is funny to look back at previous belly pictures when I thought I was so big and compare them to now. I know I still have a long ways to go. I am sure before I know it I will be looking back at these pictures longing to have this size belly again! I added our very first belly picture from when I was 4 weeks prego for comparison. As of today I do have to look over my belly to see my toes!

26 WEEKS!

Well, I have made it to 26 weeks! That means we have less than 100 days left until the arrival of Baby B. He/she has been growing so much over the past two weeks! I can't wait until our next doctors appointment. I am still on bed rest and will be for several more weeks. I am anxious to see if bed rest has stopped the shortening on my cervix. I have good days and bad days, but more good than bad. I take everyday that baby B stays in my belly as a blessing. I know baby B is growing stronger everyday. The next big milestone we are trying to reach is 28 weeks. The survival rate for a pre-term baby goes up much higher and the development of the baby changes quite dramatically! I am still trying to work hard on school projects as much as I can with the help of my great professors at Doane. We are still looking at a degree completion date of December 2008. Please keep us in your prayers as we work through the challenges that are handed to us. I have actually started to take bed rest as a belssing as I realize I never spent time to enjoy my pregnancy before I was forced to. Now I can really bond with the baby, read to it, sing to it (I am sure that is the babies favorite part of the day! HA!). I have also been enjoying all the movement that has been happeing in my belly. It gets more pronounced and harder each day. I have caught a few of the kicks on tape which has been exciting for Gabe so he can share in the excitement. I am trying to stay positive as we move through the next several crutial weeks. I welcome anyone visitors to stop by as the days can get pretty long and lonely on the couch. :) I will try to have Gabe take some good belly pictures tonight so you can see just how big I am getting!

6 MONTHS

We are finally to the 6 month mark! Here is a picture from a few days ago. It is amazing how big of a difference a few days can make on my ever growing belly! I am trying to survive bed rest. Gabe has been so great so far making sure I am always taken care of. Between him and my mom I am surrounded by the Bed Rest Nazi's! This is probably a good thing, because as hard as I try, it is a challenge to stay down. I am so grateful for my great family and friends who have volunteered to keep me company, cook a few meals and help with household chores. I could never get through this without you! The hardest part of bed rest thus far is just getting lonely at home all day by myself. So visitors are ALWAYS welcome! So far we are getting along great and bed rest seems to be doing it's job! Hopefully we can keep baby Buresh cooking for at least 8 more weeks! Thanks for all your support and prayers during this time!

Well, Here is the scoop. Baby Buresh is not listening! I had a doctor appointment today to see if my contractions were getting any better. I thought we were doing pretty good and ready to go back to work, but Dr. Hier-Duffin has different ideas. She checked and my cervix is still tightly closed, but I seemed to have thinned out a little from last week. My cervix is not quite as long as it should be. She ordered bed rest throught the end of November. Please pray for Baby B to stay in there as long as possible, he/she means the world to us and the longer baby B stays put the better off we will all be. Also please pray for my sanity through the next couple of weeks. I welcome all visitors, although I can't guarantee the conditions of my house as I can't get up to clean it. Please just send your prayers our way as we embark on this amazing and crazy journey.

23 WEEKS!

I am just a few days shy of 23 weeks. Being on bed rest has been a challenge for me as I am so used to being on the go all the time. I have had to find lots of new things to keep me occupied without leaving the couch. Gabe has been great to spend his Saturday night playing rummy, go fish, and war with me. The baby has become substantially more active this week as well which has provided a few hours of entertainment for me. We also got a baby heart monitor so we can hear the baby's kicks and heartbeat. It was only $20 from Target, so it was definitely worth it to keep me busy and entertained. I decided to day that it was time for a few new belly pictures. I took them in the mirror, so they didn't turn out the best, but Baby B is definitely there and growing more everyday!

Well, last night I started to have some cramping in my back and abdomen. I was a little worried so I called the doctor. She advised that I go get checked out at labor and delivery, but I thought perhaps I just overdid it so I asked if I could just try the couch for a little while. The cramps seemed to calm down through the night. Then today at work I went for a walk during lunch and the cramping resumed. I called the doctor and made a quick appointment to see her. She checked and my cervix is still closed and Baby B is doing great, just anxious to meet the world! I was having some contractions. The doctor is putting me on some medicine to stop the contractions and a week of bed rest. I am also starting some antibiotics just in case the contractions are being caused from a bladder or kidney infection. So everything looks like it will be ok, but Baby B is making mommy take it easy for a while.

21 WEEKS!!!

We had our 21 week doctor appointment today. Baby Buresh is measuring a week ahead! He/She is a BIG baby! It is already weighing 1 pound and measuring at 22 weeks. My new estimated due date is Jan 16th, but because it is within a week we will keep that same date of Jan 23rd. The babies heartbeat was at 130, but since mommies resting heart rate is 55 I guess that shouldn't surprise me! grandpa Fink came to the appointment with us this time. I think he had a good time, but with boys you can never tell. The baby appears to have mommies hands. We got so many good shots this week, but I am just uploading a few of my favorites! We had a hard time confirming the sex again because the babies parts were hidden under my belly button. We had to wiggle the baby around a little to get any good shots. The doctor is pretty convinced of the sex this week though, so I guess it is time to shop! We will be announcing the sex at the first baby shower, I can hardly wait! Daddy was impressed by Baby B's growth over the past 4 weeks. He was pretty proud of the babies spine, nose and hands! SO CUTE! I can't wait to hold and kiss them!

HUSKER GAME WEEKEND!

Gabe and I were able to hang out with my godparents this weekend! They were incredibly generous and gave us tickets to go to the Husker home game with them! It was Baby B's first football game! He/She loved every second of it! The baby did however discover mommy's sciatic nerve on Saturday during the game. The baby seems to love laying right on it and shooting pains down my leg. I guess the baby was just trying to express his/her excitement about the Husker victory and wanted to make sure I was paying attention! :) We are both doing great though and can't wait for the ultrasound this Thursday! I also attended a bridal shower for my good friend Gina! What a HOOT! I added a picture of Gina impersonating what I will look like at her wedding reception. The reception in January 17th, just a few days before my due date! Overall we had a very fun and exciting weekend! Daddy is doing great and taking pride in the expansion of my belly over the past few weeks!

We are finally halfway to meeting baby Buresh. The past few weeks have been filled with exciting moments and stress. I began my senior seminar for school which is my senior thesis project. It is the last major hurdle before completing my degree in December. We have also had some name drama. We had a name picked out, but are now in the process of changing the name! Mommy and Daddy have very different tastes! Opposites attract right?? I have felt a few flutters, but no big movements from baby Buresh. As week 20 begins I am really looking forward to feeling the baby move around. I have been playing some music for the baby during my walks. When I get a song I really like on my ipod I hold the headphones up to my belly to share the song with the baby! He/She is loving Marvin Gaye and Frank Sinatra just like Mommy!! (At least that is what I tell myself!) I also took a 19 week 5 day picture. My belly has grown so much in the past few weeks! We have a doctor appointment next Thursday and we are hoping to get 100% confirmation on the sex! We do believe we know the sex, but I want the doctor to say she is 100% (or as 100% as she can be from an ultrasound!) As most of you know we aren't sharing the sex of the baby until the first baby shower. We won't be revealing a name until baby Buresh is born. :)

SURPRISE GABE!!!

I threw a surprise birthday party for Gabe on Saturday! It was a hit, he never saw it coming! Here are a few pictures of Gabe and his three brothers being goofy as always. His brother Matt is home from Arizona for a few weeks so he was able to make it to the party. It was really fun to see all of the get to spend time together. I also took a few belly pictures. It is amazing how much my belly changes from morning to night and from day to day. This week we also go the results back from our quad 4 testing which tests for abnormalities in the baby such as downs syndrome and spina bifida. We are so grateful that the tests all came back looking 100% normal! We pray to God everyday for a healthy and happy baby!

We still have some work to do on our nursery, new curtains and a few other touches, but here is a quick preview of the past two weekends work. Those lines you see were no easy task for me, but turned out just how I had pictured. We took our once blueish-green office to a perfect nursery! When we get finished I will update with more pictures. I can't wait to see all my ideas come together!

We had another doctor appointment today. Baby B's heartbeat was at 140. We also got new ultrasound pictures of the baby. He/she was scrunched up in a ball so it was hard to get a good picture, but we got a few. If you look close at the 4D ultrasound you can see Baby B's umbilical cord, leg and facial features. The picture does not do the ultrasound justice. We got some really great views! It seems like the baby's head has grown SO much in just three weeks. We are hoping desperately that our insurance can come to an agreement with the doctors office so we don't have to switch doctors. For now it is just a waiting game. Our next appointment is September 11th. It seems crazy that I will be over 1/2 way by the next appointment! Time is flying!

Here are a few belly pictures. As you can see I really started to show between week 10 and 14. I am now 16 weeks and even bigger. I will get more belly pictures taken and uploaded soon. I finally got the ok from my doctor to start working out again so slowly I am getting back into the swing of things! We have our next appointment next Thursday, August 14. We will be doing lots of testing on baby Buresh to make sure he/she is doing well!

We heard the baby Buresh's heartbeat for the first time today. It was strong at 152bmp. We also got two new ultrasound pictures. We were so blessed to have Grandma Fink there to enjoy the experience after a tough week. I am starting to pop and will upload new belly pictures soon!

My Grandpa Vernon Stelling passed away Tuesday morning. He was a very special guy and will always hold a very special place in the hearts on anyone he ever met. My sister Emily, her son Elijah and I were lucky enough to spend the day with him Sunday. He made a video for Baby Buresh in case he wasn't here to meet him/her. I know now we will forever cherish that video. I have also added a couple of my favorite pictures from some of our many fishing trips together. His absence has left a big hole in our hearts and he will be greatly missed. I ask that your prayers are with him and our family during this difficult time.

Here are our pictures from our 10 week ultrasound! We got two different views today. The first one is a 4D image and the second one is a 2D image. We are so blessed to have a doctor with a 3D/4D ultrasound machine. These were taken through my stomach today for the first time! If you look close in the 4D picture you can see Baby Buresh's head, arm and leg. SO CUTE!!!! The Baby still seemed to have a good heartbeat which is always reassuring to see. Baby Buresh has grown so much in the past 3 weeks it is unbelievable! I am starting to feel a little better some days. I am just very tired by the end of the day. Poor Gabe is having to pick up some of my slack around the house since my bedtime has become about 8:30pm. I am starting to pouch out just a tiny bit. Here in a few weeks I will take new belly pictures and compare them to the ones we took the day we found out we were pregnant! GROW BABY GROW!

VEGAS

We are back from Vegas today! We had a great time as long as I was constantly keeping a full belly! Morning sickness hit me with a vengeance on the plane ride home. I think I may have overdone it in Vegas and baby Buresh was seeking revenge! :) I just wanted to share a few pictures from the trip! Our next doctor appointment in on June 26th. We should be able to hear Baby Buresh's heartbeat! I am excited beyond belief. I can't believe I am almost 9 weeks already. Time is flying! I did get the baby a few keepsakes from Vegas for when he/she is born since it was his/her first plane ride and first trip to Vegas! I did have one pretty funny moment in during the Bellagio water show. Apparently I thought it was pretty moving and it brought me to tears...yep, definitely prego!

OUR GODSON ELIJAH TIMOTHY

Today was our one year wedding anniversary, but it was also our Godson Elijah's baptism! Big day! Here is a picture we took after baptism. We were so lucky to be a part of his baptism. I am starting to feel not as great, but if it means Baby Buresh is growing I am happy as ever!

Week 7! We went to the doctor today and finally got a due date! We are due on January 23, 2009! The doctor saw a very strong heartbeat and said everything is looking good. Gabe is very excited about Baby Buresh's growth. He has ultrasound pictures in his wallet to show off his son/daughter. We are so blessed to have such great family and friends. Your love, support and prayers have really helped us through a tough few weeks. The doctor wants to see us back in three weeks. I will finally not be taking up a permanent residence in my poor doctors office! As for me, I am feeling a little morning sickness, but consider myself lucky as it is truly just in the morning at this point. I am feeling great and can't wait to experience all that pregnancy has to offer. Please keep the prayers coming. We Love you all!

6 WEEKS!!!

We had another ultrasound today! Daddy (Gabe) came to the doctor for the first time with me today. Baby Buresh measured right at six weeks. We did see a little flicker that my doctor said she believed was the heartbeat! It was the greatest experience I have had to date! We will go again next week for our first "official" visit. Then, next Thursday she will do one more ultrasound to make sure it was actually the heartbeat that we saw. If you look very close in the top right hand corner of the big black dot you can see the The yolk sac and Baby Buresh!

This may look like nothing to you, but to Gabe and I, it is our entire world wrapped up into a small gestational sac. We should get another one next week once we are 6 weeks to make sure the baby is progressing. We feel so blessed to have such a great doctor and a great support system around us. We are pregnant. It is still very early. The doctor is estimating right around 4 weeks. I ovulate very late so I was able to find out very early. I am not having any symptoms yet, but I am actually really looking forward to some to ease my mind. We will be due in late January!!!
